Three PSA NM-MT 8 famous faces—Harvey Haddix (#340), Bobby Thomson (#153), and Joe Adcock (#3)—from one of the finest 1960 Topps sets known to the hobby, now listed by lots and singles in this auction. Each presents strong color, clean borders, and the visual appeal expected from high grades. Smaller details like print fisheyes and centering variance, still consistent with this grade, are what differentiate them from 9 or 10 scores. Each notes the # higher on population reports.

#340 Harvey Haddix (16 higher) remains best remembered for his 12-inning near-perfect game in 1959, as noted on this card. I'm sure his key role in Pittsburgh's 1960 championship rotation helped cure any hangover bad feelings!

#153 Bobby Thomson (15 higher) echoes Haddix with his heroic, pennant-winning homer for the Giants in 1951. His broken ankle in 1954 proved even more consequential to baseball history, as it opened the door for young Hank Aaron to play everyday in the Milwaukee outfield.

#3 Joe Adcock (21 higher) surely watched Aaron's growth from his own grip on first base in Milwaukee. Joe provided key power during those pennant-winning years and would notch his sole All-Star season in 1960.
