This engaging moment in time shows southpaw Dick Kerr finishing a warmup throw along the third base line, perhaps about to enter one of the 53 victories we earned in just three years for Chicago. He won two of Chicago's three World Series victories in October 1919, apparently unaware of the Black Sox plot swirling around him that would give the series to Cincinnati. Its PSA VG 3 grade reflects corner rounding and some surface haze that detracts little from the main image. (The partial "H" came from its original photo and appears on all such Kerr cards.)

Henry A. Johnson Confectioners added their purple back stamp to a range of W575-1 cards, creating a rare subset whose full checklist is yet to be confirmed. PSA considers W575 a kind of strip card, so grades include the "hand cut" notation. Their population report shows just two such Kerr cards graded, with none higher!
