1929 Type I photo showing three members of the famed $100,000 infield of the early 1910's Philadelphia Athletics. Pictured from left to right are former third baseman Frank "Home Run" Baker, second baseman Eddie Collins, and shortstop Jack Barry. Baker and Barry had retired following the 1922 and 1919 season respectively and are seen here at Shibe Park on the occasion of Game 3 of the 1929 World Series, visiting Eddie Collins who was still in uniform with Philadelphia. The $100,000 infield helped Connie Mack's Athletics capture four American League title titles in five years across 1910, 1911, 1913, and 1914, securing three World Series titles during that span in 1910, 1911, and 1913. 8" x 10" photo with well focused central image remains in phenomenal condition with some typical waviness along the right edge. Credit stamping from Wide World has been applied to verso and original paper caption is included but has become separated. Offered here for the first time anywhere, photo includes full LOA from PSA/DNA.
