One of just three poses of first baseman Jay Faatz featured in the Old Judge issues, this example actually served as the plate specimen in The Photographic Baseball Cards of Goodwin and Company, the "Bible" for Old Judge collectors. And with good reason: the card image is spectacular, clean and sharp, with crisp typography, a strong surface and a well-centered photo. Upon close inspection, some creasing is evident, mostly vertical running from top to bottom, more visible on the reverse.
