One of our favorite quotes in The Photographic Baseball Cards of Goodwin and Company relates to catcher Bill Farmer, who's biography opens "Bill had more poses in the Old Judge set than hits in the majors (five versus two). Pictured here with Pittsburgh in this 1888 example, the card has received a grade of VG-EX+ 4.5 from PSA, likely due to some corner wear at the bottom left. Regardless, the image quality is exceptional for the issue, and the card is remarkably clean.
