Depicted in what may have been his worst season outfielder Dick Bayless spent two seasons with the Atlanta Crackers of the Southern Association before moving to Mobile and Memphis. In 1908 Bayless made it to the Cincinnati Reds for a cup of coffee hitting .225 in 71 at bats. His seasons in Atlanta merited appearance on a Red Sun Cigarettes card 104 years later highly sought after among collectors as a rare and valuable minor league issue. The card graded VG 40 by SGC exhibits some surface wear on the front however with T211s it really is the reverse that is most important and the reverse of this card is very strong and clean.
