c.1972 Type I photo of martial arts icon, Bruce Lee. A still from Lee's film, Fist of Fury, where the legendary action star played the role of Chen Zen, on a quest to avenge his master, Ho Yuanjia. This would be Lee's second major role in a Golden Harvest film, shot just one year prior to his death in 1973. Overall physical condition of the 8" x 10" photo remains superb, with light toning visible to white borders surrounding the central image. Verso of photo includes typed captioning that reads: "'Fists of Fury' is the first Chinese made action film to acquaint American audiences with the unique 'Karate/Kung Fu' abilities that have turned American born Bruce Lee into an Asian Superstar. National General Pictures is releasing." Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA.
