Gorgeous first series Contentnea card of Ashley Pope graded VG 40 by SGC due to moderate wear at the corners including a small corner crease at the lowe right. A very pleasing card however with bold and bright color. Pope played 14 seasons in the minors but is depicted here in his first season with the Raleigh Red Birds of the Eastern Carolina League. Pope would make a solid impression with the Class D team posting a 13-8 record and moving up to the SALLY League in 1910 where he would have his greatest professional season posting a 24-11 record with the Jacksonville Jays.
