Clay Dalrymple played solid, and sometimes spectacular, seasons behind the plate for Philly, and remains one of a select few to catch at least 1,000 games for the franchise. His throwing arm cut down nearly half of all attempted steals, a remarkable rate in any era. Earl Weaver used Dalrymple with precision in Baltimore, where Clay platooned for their 1969-71 AL pennant winners and 1970 World Series champions.
