The return of horizontal layouts for 1960 brought more character to many of the Topps poses. A's slugger Bob Cerv moved to New York midseason and hit well during the Yankees drive to its AL pennant and then add five hits in the World Series itself. Bob became an Angels expansion draftee in 1961, only to be shipped back to New York for another half-season of good hitting. Cerv closed his MLB career with Houston's expansion squad in 1962. Perhaps they also thought about sending him back to New York...
