One of the best examples known, this PSA MINT 9 was part of an expert-built 1960 Topps set, with the majority now availble in this auction. The color, centering and borders all dress to impress, with Topps once again providing a peek at the Wrigley Field scoreboard behind Bob Anderson. The population report shows just one higher.

Native son Bob Anderson led Chicago in starts and innings pitched in 1959, no doubt building a cadre of admirers in the process. He spent the bulk of his career with the Cubs, but also made a mark in Tigers history as part of their ill-fated trade of Rocky Colavito to Kansas City. At least being traded with Rocky meant you avoided having to pitch to him!
