This PSA MINT 9 is among the highest-graded copies known and taken from an elite set for this auction, which included many of the top graded singles assembled by serious 1960 Topps collector. The color depth, clarity, and centering all justify this high grade.
For all the career excellence of teammates like Warren Spahn and Lew Burdette, it was Bob Buhl who led the NL in winning percentage for Milwaukee's 1957 World Series winners, and it is praiseworthy indeed to find yourself in that company. The highly durable Bob pitched even better in 1960, once again winning about 2/3 of his games and earning an All-Star selection. As the card notes, Buhl almost took home an ERA crown in 1959, losing out to Sad Sam Jones by a fraction.
