Spectacularly colorful and vivid 1960 Topps Mickey Mantle. Near-perfect centering and rich color, the card is part of one of the hobby's finest 1960 Topps sets - currently ranked as the #1 1960 Topps Set with Wax Pack on the PSA Set Registry. The set is being broken up as part of our Spring, 2025 auction, and despite the fact that the set is loaded with MINT 9 examples, this PSA 8 Mantle is truly a highlight.

Suffice to say that the collector that assembled this set has an extremely discriminating eye, and the wherewithal to upgrade the set's key cards by acquiring a higher-grade example. This card, however, is the kind of card that transcends the numerical grade, and is more than worthy of inclusion in such a high-end set. Free of virtually all the print flaws common with Topps production of this era, the card is saturated with rich reds, yellows and blacks, all of which contrast brilliantly against its stark, white borders.  An outstanding, high grade card, one of the keys to this incredible set.
