This rare T206 card shows the batting pose for Philadelphia infielder Simon Nicholls, one of many players to receive a charity event after an untimely passing. Simon died from complications of typhoid fever in March 1911 and two of his former clubs played an April exhibition preseason game that raised money for his widow's financial future. The PSA FR 1.5 grade reflects corner rounding and chipping. Its population report shows just eight total Sovereign backs graded, making this tough to find indeed.
