This T206 Piedmont (350 subjects) card shows a throwing pose for Rochester pitcher Bill Chappelle, who infamously started the first "shortest professional game" (32 minutes), in late September 1910. Every player joined the goal to pitch, bat, and field as fast as possible, creating a frenetic scene that no doubt puzzled or dazzled its fans. Bill later extended his "major league" career a bit by logging a season with Brooklyn's Tip-Tops of the 1914 Federal League. Its PSA GD 2 grade reflects corner rounding, an image tilt along the card's top edge, and number written in pencil on the reverse.
