The "Champ" brand of prophylactics often brings a chuckle and a smile to the faces of collectors, but their use of sports-related images make them a favorite among collectors.  The individual three-packs contain four different sports-related illustrations (golf, football, boxing, and baseball), but the baseball package carries the greatest value among collectors due to the unmistakeable image of Ted Williams.  Though Williams explained over the years that he was never compensated for the use of his image on the product, he was happy to talk about them, and occasionally an autographed package finds its way into the hobby.  Single packages (which contained three pieces) are relatively common, and 12-packs more scarce but still can be found.

Presented here is something we have never seen before. In the "wishful thinking" department, this is a 7" x 6 1/2" x 1" box containing a dozen 12-packs, for a total of 144 prophylactics.  Each of the dozen 12-packs inside includes the familiar Ted Williams graphic, each 12-pack containing individual 3-packs.  There are a lot of Ted Williams prophylactics in here!

The outer box exhibits some light wear and toning, with chipping at each of the edges, but remains sturdy and tight. The 12-packs inside appear clean with only mild toning, snugly fit inside the box. With 48 individual three-packs, this is unquestionably a scarce item, the only example we have ever seen.  An outstanding collectible, undoubtedly rare, containing a dozen 12-packs of Ted Williams "Champ" Prophylactics in total.
