4 3/16" x 4 1/4" square cigar box label for "Base Hit" cigars.  Dated 1889 and printed by lithographer Schumacher & Ettlinger of New York, the label features a baseball scene in the lower half, a woman in a baseball cap inset inside an illustration of a baseball in the upper portion of the label.  Clean and colorful, the label boasts an EX appearance save for a tiny edge tear at the bottom-right, and some very light staining in the border areas here and there.  Glue staining on the reverse reduces the technical grade, but not the considerable eye appeal.
