The M101-2 Sporting News supplements issue is growing in popularity as collectors realize their scarcity (and now that there are grading company holders large enough to fit them). Virtually all grade low, as the oversized supplements are subject to all sorts of condition flaws, simply due to the difficulty in protecting them over the years. Issued December 2 of 1909, this example features future Hall of Famer Tris Speaker in mid-swing, an outstanding photo that pictures the Grey Eagle in motion. Graded POOR 1 by Beckett, two pinholes at the top have turned into tears, leaving quite a bit of paper loss in each case.
