Similar in design to the 1948 team-issued picture packs, the Big League Novelty Company issued a set of Cleveland Indians player photos in 1949. Sold via advertisements inserted into Indians scorecards (and perhaps other ways as well), Indians team picture packs were available for 50 cents. The Paige can be differentiated from the normal team-issued page by the signature - the Big League Novelty photo puts the name "Satchell" in quotes, where as the team-issued photo does not (the signature more closely resembles handwriting on the team-issued piece as well). Tough to find, this 6 1/2" x 9" photo has been graded GOOD 2, a truly inexplicable grade that may relate to a tiny spot of what could be paper loss at the lower-right corner, visible at both front and back. Otherwise sharp and strong, unless we are missing something less obvious, a major deduction in grade for a minor flaw on a card that appears far stronger than the grade assigned.
