Tremendous high-grade full ticket to the Seattle Kingdome on May 30 of 1995, for a game between the Mariners and the New York Yankees. Injuries to middle infielder Pat Kelly and Tony Fernandez forced the Yankees to designate veteran infielder Kevin Elster for assignment and promote their hot-hitting minor league shortstop and 1992 first round pick Derek Jeter to the big club. In reporting the early Gallup, the New York Daily News reported "With a .308 average and 77 stolen bases in just over three seasons, Jeter is expected to be a star."

Indeed.

Jeter's big league debut happened on May 29, the shortstop going 0-for-5 in the Yankees 8-7 extra inning loss. The following day, Jeter started at shortstop and batted ninth.  In his first at bat, in the second inning, Jeter was caught looking against Mariners pitcher Tim Belcher. Jeter would come back to lead off the 5th and ground a single in the hole between short and third, and coming around to score on a Jim Leyritz double, his first major league hit. He would reach base twice more in the game, with another single (and run scored) in the 7th, and a base on balls in the 8th. Jeter would, of course, get another 3,463 hits in his career after May 30, 1995, as well as a trip to the Hall of Fame, missing unanimous selection by one ridiculous vote.

The full ticket has been graded NM 7 by PSA, a sharp and clean example, an important milestone ticket for one of the game's great contemporary Hall of Famers.
