Beautiful example of Steve Carlton's first card, well-centered and sharp, with a rich, vivid image. The black bordered area is speckled with a minimum of print snow, far less than with most examples of this card that we encounter.  A few minor surface blemishes are apparent, notably above the "K" in "Rookie." A very strong example of a desirable rookie card, one of the more important cards of the decade.
