Original Type I photograph of the 1925 Pittsburgh Pirates, National League pennant winners and eventual World Series champions. A 7" x 9" matte-finish example with crisp central image that features thirty-three subjects in the foreground with their mascot. All individuals depicted are in uniform save for Barney Dreyfuss and the executives (Waters and Sam Dreyfuss) that flank him. In addition to Dreyfuss the photo also includes future Hall of Famers Pie Traynor, Max Carey, Bill McKechnie, and Kiki Cuyler. A beautiful photo credited to the Photo-Craft Studios of Pittsburgh, also seen on the reverse of a highly collectible Pennsylvania Railroad dining car menu from the era. Various handwritten notations have been applied to verso, with evidence of a label or sticker being removed from the lower-right corner. Authenticated as a Type I photo by PSA/DNA and includes their full LOA.
