Another superb quality image of Hall of Fame pitcher John Clarkson, an 1887 issue depicting him with Chicago, where he posted a 38-21 record the season before being purchased by Boston in the spring of 1888.  The card has been graded VG/EX 4 by SGC, due largely to light corner wear and perhaps a centering issue.  The image quality is quite strong, however, relatively crisp and sharp, with reasonably strong contrast.  One of seven different poses of Clarkson featured in the N172 issue.
