The 1931 W517 baseball set consists of 54 cards measuring 3” by 4”, much
larger than the contemporaries of the era. The creamy stock cardboard
cards were distributed in strips and often show the dotted line at the
top and bottom used for cutting. Though primarily appearing in a
sepia-tone, other colors are known to exist, including blue. As was the case with many of
the strip cards of the time, the W517 are blank-backed.
