Strong grouping of checks bearing the signatures of a variety of Hall of Famers and stars, including a few tougher ones.  Collection includes: 1) Al Barlick (HOF): 1987 check signed by Barlick, signature remaining bold and legible at the bottom right. 2) Lou Boudreau (HOF): 1985 check, Boudreau signing "Louis," the signature unencumbered by wear or cancellation. 3) Ray Dandridge (HOF): Utilizing two pens, Dandridge filled out the majority of the check in black marker, the signature dark and bold, the check dated 1987. 4) Carl Erskine: Erskine always had a beautiful signature and this is no exception, 1973 check signed boldly at the bottom right.  Unfortunately the cancellation stamp does encroach one the signature. 5) George Kelly (HOF): 1925 check signed by Kelly in pencil, albeit dark and clear.  The cancellation hole punches do not encroach upon Kelly's signature, the San Francisco Bank check design quite elegant and artistic.  6) Johnny Mike (HOF): 1991 check signed in black ink by Mike, the rest of the check made out in a different ink by a different hand.  Mize's signature rides low on the check, encroaching on the account numbers at the bottom. 7) Johnny Pesky: 1994 check signed in blue ballpoint by the Red Sox hero, a slight bit of ink smudging evident near the "J", otherwise strong.  Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.  Seven checks total.
