Graded VG/EX+ 4.5 by SGC, a rare and under appreciated card of Babe Ruth, an "action" shot from the 1939 African Tobacco "The World Of Sport" Large-Series issue.  An extraordinary card of Ruth issued outside the United States, the cards often fly under the radar because they are not considered a mainstream card issue.  Despite that fact, the cards are considerably more difficult to find than Ruth's mainstream cards, yet are typically more affordable.  Ruth was the only baseball player pictured in this 100-card set of athletes, as each sport depicted in the set featured just one player. This mid grade example is well-centered, with some light soiling and corner wear contributing to the technical assessment.  Despite this, an outstanding, seldom-seen card of Ruth, more affordable than a card this difficult should be.
