With its simple elegant design bold typography and crisp photography the 1964 Topps baseball set is a classic issue from the most popular and long-lasting card manufacturer. With no major rookie cards however (the first-year card of HOFer Phil Niekro is probably the biggest-name rookie in the set) this set has continued to fly under the radar in terms of overall popularity. This high-grade Willie Mays is one of the set"s keys. Boasting excellent centering for the issue the card does have a slight issue with print registration but is still a strong example of one of the most important cards in an underappreciated mainstream set.
