The "Little World Series," or "Junior World Series," was a postseason series between the champions of two of the three highest minor leagues, typically between the pennant winners of the International League and American Association.  The 1921 series pitted the Louisville Colonels against the Baltimore Orioles, the series won by the Colonels, 5-3.  The Colonels were managed by future Hall of Famer Joe McCarthy and included a roster of many future and former major leaguers, notably Billy Meyer.  The Orioles team included a young Lefty Grove, as well as infielder Max Bishop.

Presented here is a ticket stub from one of the games, as well as an envelope addressed to the wife of Max Bishop, to whom the ticket stub belonged.  While the stub is not dated, it was included with the envelope when purchased by our consignor, a longtime collector who acquired the pieces directly from Bishop's estate. Though there is no letter of provenance to accompany this group, the envelope serves as strong evidence.  Both in FAIR condition.
