This autograph is from the James Furner Collection, a wide array of sports, political, historical and entertainment industry signatures obtained by Mr. Furner over his lifetime and recently consigned to Love of the Game Auctions. Items from the Furner Collection are proudly presented throughout the auction. 

Sadly Pete Maravich passed away at the young age of 40 in 1988, so autographs of the basketball showman are highly treasured. Presented here is a boldly signed page by Hall of Famer "Pistol Pete" Maravich on delightful Pistol Pete Enterprises stationary. It is inked in blue ballpoint and has a LOA from PSA/DNA. 

It is rare to see a Maravich signature where he has chronicled so many details of his life and career, but here Pete's classic penmanship documents a handful of favorite bible verses, the three NBA teams he played for, and the jersey numbers he wore while in the league. Wow! 

Pete's unforgettable style and accomplishments received renewed attention in 2024 when Caitlin Clark ("Ponytail Pete") was setting her own scoring records.
