Centering is just west on the canvas here, with corners and edges consistent with the grade. While the printing on the Piedmont back is bold and dark, centering is far east on the reverse and there is some slight foxing, keeping this card from grading higher. Plenty of eye appeal from the front, though, with the gorgeous colors of the sky, despite Marquard's awkward pose with his hands at his thighs.
SGC
has only ever graded 62 total examples of this T206 with a Piedmont back, with only nineteen receiving a higher grade than the VG 3 offered here
of Hall of Famer Rube Marquard with his hands at his thighs.
