Attractive cardboard window advertising display measuring approximately 7 1/8" x 11 7/8" and featuring a colorful lithograph of a woman standing in front of a mirror. The word "Cigarettes" is imprinted in blue ink above her head, in a period typeface, with advertisements for Palo Alto and Del Monte brands of cigarettes. The Palo Alto brand was closely associated with Stanford University, the artwork gracing its packs depicting the university campus. Featuring round corners and a metal-reinforced grommet, the piece was printed on lightweight cardboard, with a blank reverse. Some staining and paper loss is apparent on the front, with heavy glue staining from scrapbook mounting on the edges of the reverse. Still, a very attractive piece of west coast tobacciana.
