Beautiful postcard from the highly sought-after Wolverine News issue of 1907, a set of 20 postcards featuring only members of the Detroit Tigers. Several of the subjects - Ty Cobb, Sam Crawford, Bill Donovan and Hugh Jennings - are featured on two different poses, and while the Cobb cards are undoubtedly the keys to the issue, the Crawford cards are next in line.  

This example features the Hall of Fame outfielder squaring to bunt (as they teach you in little league, he's going to break his fingers holding the bat that way). The card has been graded VG 3 by SGC, due largely to some staining along the bottom edge, as well as light corner wear and rounding. Similar discoloration can be found along the bottom and right edge of the reverse, which is otherwise clean.

SGC has only ever graded 9 total examples of this 1907 Wolverine News Co. postcard, with only three receiving a higher grade than the VG 3 offered here of Sam Crawford bunting.
