The debut card of pitching great Sandy Koufax, presented here in an eye-pleasing NM. Always on the short list of the most desired rookie cards of baseball greats, this is a stunning example, perhaps the most attractive you will find at this grade level.  Centering is always an issue with this card, though it is often overlooked due to the graduated background that fades from yellow to white (left to right).  This example is nearly perfectly centered horizontally, creating a perfect frame for the card and illustrating just how much more beautiful a well-centered Koufax rookie can be. Based on his eventual achievements in the game it is striking that the back of the Koufax rookie notes he was "not in organized baseball" the previous year!
