Attractive 4" high cylindrical tin that once housed Bishop's brand peanut butter.  With gold, blue and cream-colored external graphics, the can has retained its original shape, oxidizing in areas to a dark patina. Some rust is evident inside the can, which opens and closes with ease.  The patina is also evident on the top edge, partially obscuring the message "If you could see the cleanly manner in which this delicious Bishop Peanut Butter is prepared, you would understand that you cannot buy anything more healthful for your table."  Of particular interest to hobbyists due to the company's production of several PCL issues in 1910 and 1911, including the E99, E100 and E221 sets.
