Chet Brewer had a lengthy career in the American Negro Leagues pitching in leagues all over the world including China Haiti Canada the Philippines Japan Mexico but unfortunately never in the American major leagues. He did play in several different minor leagues between the 1930s and early 50s but his primary involvement in Major League baseball was as a scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates between 1957 and 1974. His 1949-50 Toleteros card has been graded FAIR 20 by SGC due to staining on the front and a spot of paper loss on the reverse neither of which interferes considerably with the card's aesthetic appeal. A scarce Puerto Rican issue capturing an interesting figure and great pitcher who traveled the world playing baseball but was sadly unable to play in his own country.
