One of the more desirable subjects in the N172 issue and one of the more highly sought-after 19th Century Hall of Famers in the hobby in general, this particularly attractive card features Mike "King" Kelly. One of the less frequently-seen of Kelly's 11 poses in the issue, this 1886/87 example describes him as "$10,000 Kelly," an infamous reference to the price of his sale to the Boston Beaneaters after the 1886 season. The card is a beauty, graded VG-EX 4 by PSA with a bold, sharp image and little visible wear aside from the corners, which exhibit signs of light handling but little else. Moderate age-related toning can be observed, most prevalent along the card edges. An extremely strong example of one of the most prized Hall of Fame subjects in the entire N172 issue.
