Quite underrated due to a shortage of star power, the T207 issue of 1912
is one of the most fascinating of all prewar tobacco issues. With
varying levels of scarcity, a number of tough individual rarities,
difficult front/back combinations and a condition-sensitive gloss on the
card fronts, assembling a strong T207 set is quite a collecting
challenge.
Extremely desirable card of Buck Weaver, featuring a rare "anonymous"
back. One of the more difficult cards in the set to begin with, among
the 50 cards of the issue available with Cycle or Broadleaf backs, the
Anonymous back adds a greater degree of difficulty.
Graded Authentic by SGC,
the card exhibits significant creasing and surface wear, with heavy age-related
staining. Despite the condition, this is an
extremely rare card, and one of the more desirable in the issue.
