Original news service photo depicting Hall of Famers Joe Cronin, Jimmy Foxx, and Babe Ruth with fellow major leaguer Earl Whitehill in 1933. Cronin, Foxx and Whitehill had just received certificates from the "All-America Board of Baseball," developed by legendary PR man Christy Walsh to honor All-Stars at each position every season from 1924-48. Recipients of the certificates were chosen by Babe Ruth along with a cadre of sportswriters, with each certificate bearing their signatures at the bottom. Captured at the Polo Grounds during the 1933 World Series by legendary photographer Charles Conlon, the central image presently crisply, surrounded by borders with just a touch of rounding to the corners. Conlon has identified each man in pencil on verso which also includes a Baseball Magazine hologram. Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA.
