Spectacular Louisville Slugger used by one of the greatest players of his era, outfielder Rickey Henderson.  Dated to 1989 based on the bat labeling, the Louisville Slugger model C243 weighs 32.2 ounces, measuring 34" in length.  Henderson split 1989 between the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees, batting .274 with a .411 on base percentage due to a career-high 126 walks.  Henderson stole 77 bases and scored 113 runs, both leading the league.  He finished 9th in the American League MVP voting, despite having played with two teams.

The bat itself exhibits excellent use, with several ball marks and stitch impressions throughout, with the ball marks including blue ink transfers from American League baseballs. The handle has a light coat of pine tar, with Henderson's number on the knob and top barrel.  The bat has been signed by Henderson on the left barrel.  The bat does have a crack in the handle.  PSA/DNA has assigned the bat a grade of GU 9.  A tremendous piece from an important Hall of Famer.
