Outstanding cabinet photo from the Stevens Studio in Chicago, featuring "Wild Bill" Hutchinson (or Hutchison), the image of which would become card #242-1 in the massive N172 Old Judge issue. Hutchison starred at Yale, and after a bit of a disappointing rookie season, went on to win 41, 44 and 36 games for the 1890-1892 Chicago White Stockings, the team with which he is pictured in the photo.  Hutchison would continue most of his career with Chicago, playing a bit of the 1897 season with the St. Louis Cardinals his last major league hurrah.  The proof has been graded VG 3 by SGC due to light wear - surface issues that appear to be "blotches" on the face of the cabinet are, unfortunately a result of SGC's mylar insert, and are not damage to the cabinet itself.
