According to PSACard.com, the 1951 Topps Blue Backs baseball set is the scarcer of the two 1951 Topps issuances, with the other being the Red Backs. This set, like the Red Backs, consists of 52 cards sold by the pair in one-cent packages. The cards measure 2” by 2-5/8” and have rounded corners. Each card displays a black and white headshot of a player on a red, white, yellow, blue, and green background. The Blue Backs set was printed on heavy stock cardboard. It was created as a playing card game with numerous game situations and plays printed on the front to simulate playing a game of baseball. The backs feature an intricate baseball diamond themed design with various baseball accouterments of the game displayed boldly in a blue background.

Presented here is a collection of twenty-seven (27) ungraded cards from the 1951 Topps Blue Back set. Cards range in grade from Poor to Very Good.

Included:

Johnny Pesky, Enos Slaughter (HOF), Red Schoendienst (HOF - two copies of this card), Sam Jethroe (two copies of this card), Richie Ashburn (HOF), Mickey Vernon, Hank Majeski, Phil Masi (two copies of this card), Murry Dickson, Eddie Joost (two copies of this card), George Munger, Del Ennis, Johnny Schmitz (two copies of this card), Vic Wertz, Irv Noren (two copies of this card), Cliff Fannin, Johnny Wyrostek, Hank Sauer (two copies of this card), Sam Chapman, and Bruce Edwards.
