Easily the key card in the beautiful and popular Turkey Red cabinet-card set the image of Ty Cobb recalls his T206 "Bat On Shoulder" pose. Cobb choked up on the bat and standing against a sunset behind the stadium grandstand looks as intense as one would imagine he must have been as a player. It is likely for this reason that many collectors feel the T3 Cobb is the most attractive of all the Ty Cobb cards. Affordable examples are simply not common. Presented is an excellent collector-grade T3 graded POOR 10 by SGC but boasting a clean colorful image. The bulk of the wear is restricted to the borders as the card has significant pinholes paper damage and corner chips and a pronounced tear on the right edge. The reverse exhibits a tape stain and the front does contain some pronounced wrinkling that traverses the card from top to bottom near the center. Despite all this the quality of the image is quite strong. Exactly the type of example sought out by T3 collectors who are more concerned with quality images but seeking grades on the lower end of the register.
