Unbelievably rare card from one of the most rare card sets of the 1930s, a bread issue from a bakery with an unknown location. Given the era, the player selection is odd, as no Hall of Famers have been discovered (although the cards are rare enough that the total number of cards in the set are unknown). Just nineteen examples have been graded by any company, including the three featured in this auction. This example has been graded POOR 1 by SGC, due to a heavy crease and some overall surface soiling, along with wear at the edges. Regardless of the technical grade, this is an extraordinary card, from a set that is virtually never seen at auction.
