The 1953-54 Pankhurst Hockey set was a 100-card set featuring color illustrated photos of some of the game's top stars.  The cards were packaged in four-card nickel packs, the wrapper containing an offer for an album in which to mount the cards.  Presented here is one of the albums, measuring 10 1/2" x 8 3/4" with a heavy stock folder, inside which holds 11 slotted sheets, each of which permits the insertion of 9 cards.  Additional slots on the folder's interior page provide space for the collector to insert their "favorite" card, so 99 cards fit in the slotted sheets and the 100th fits on the folder page.  FAIR condition with some mild age-related discoloration at the edges and spine, some areas of heavy toning on the sheets, and overall corner and edge wear.  The folder on the inside front page has been repaired with a single staple.  A necessary companion piece to the beautifully-illustrated card set.
