Outstanding hardcover Spalding scorebook, measuring 4 1/2" x 7 3/4" and completely filled with scored games, from 1878 and 1879. The games are all collegiate, scored by a Yale fan or follower, and include many familiar names like Walter Camp, Jim Tyng, Tim Keefe (HOF) and more. The scorebook appears VG/EX, neatly scored with pencil notations throughout, some fraying and wear at the edges and binding as a result of heavy use. An outstanding document of early baseball, one of the finest and most complete we have handled.
