Future Hall of Famer Sandy Koufax strides from the mound in this borderless original photograph by David Sutton. While we were not able to confirm this, it's been suggested to us that the image hails from Koufax's second career no-hitter which he achieved on May 11, 1963. Incredible not only because it was his second of four no-hitters but because he was one out away from a perfect game before walking Willie McCovey then retiring Harvey Kuenn to end the game. Despite lacking white borders that generally hide such imperfections, photo presents beautifully with a few creases relegated to the corners and light chipping most apparent to bottom edge. David Sutton's personal credit stamping appears on verso along with stamping from Sport Magazine indicating the photo was used in their September, 1963 issue. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
