This example features Stan Musial, who broke into baseball in 1941 but missed the 1945 season due to military service. Since national baseball card issues did not resume until 1948 Leaf and Bowman, collectors have begun to hunt a number of non-mainstream issues featuring Musial which were issued before his more conventional "rookie" cards. This is one of them. VG/EX condition with some light corner wear and an upper-right corner ding.
