After his retirement, popular catcher and future Hall of Famer Ray Schalk became the manager of the Buffalo Bisons of the International League. To promote ticket sales, the club produced a 200-piece jigsaw puzzle which, when assembled, produced a, 11" x 14" picture of Schalk. The box advertised a giveaway of 45 season tickets, 400 box seat tickets and 2,000 reserved seat tickets. Presented here is a display box which once housed the puzzle. Very rare today, the box measures approximately 7 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/4" and does exhibit some wear, including creasing and paper loss, the name "Ralph" written in pencil at the top. An interesting memento of a sales promotion the likes of which we've not seen.
