Beautiful EX 5 card of one of the most popular Yankees, the hero of the 1953 World Series, and eventual fiery manager Billy Martin. With six World Series rings as a player and another as manager with the 1977 Yankees, he was as volatile a man as baseball ever saw. The 1952 Topps card seen here exhibits some minor diamond cutting, with the centering just slightly south on the canvas. Light edge chipping and soft corners explain the card's technical grade, but there is still plenty of eye appeal with the bright colors and charming pose of the front. The back is bright and clean.
