There are two different Rube Waddell poses in the T206 set. One shows him throwing, and this offering is a portrait of the Hall of Fame pitcher wearing his gray St. Louis uniform in front of a solid blue background. This is the more rare of the two issues, though it is not without its issues. A crease runs horizontally across the card directly over Rube's eyes, and a tall upper border has the bottom half of the text from the card above it on the sheet. Rounded corners and staining on the borders and back are present, but the bold colors on this sought-after portrait keep this offering a desirable one. One final crease in the upper left corner further explains the card's technical grade.

George Edward "Rube" Waddell rang up more than 2,300 strikeouts in his 13-year career, leading the league in the category for six consecutive seasons at one point. His best year was 1905, his fourth straight year with 20+ wins. Waddell won the pitching Triple Crown that season, leading the league in Wins (27), ERA (1.48), and Strikeouts (287). Waddell pitched in more than 10 games in 10 seasons, leading the league in Strikeouts/9 Innings in 8 of them.
